⚠️ ATTENTION – This action is irreversible!
After deleting a team, you lose:
❌ All team data (name, crest, description).
❌ The roster (players remain in the database but are no longer in your team).
❌ Event history (friendlies, tournaments, and leagues).
❌ Team statistics and ranking position.
❌ NO POSSIBILITY to restore the team – you would have to create a new one from scratch.
🎯 When to delete a team?
✅ The team no longer exists (e.g., the club has been disbanded).
✅ The team was created by mistake (e.g., error in name or category).
✅ Duplicate team – two identical teams were created by accident.
✅ You want to delete the Coach/Organizer account type and must remove all assigned teams first.
📍 How to delete a team? – Step-by-Step
Step 1: Go to Team Edit
Open the "Teams" tab → "My".
Select the team you wish to delete.
Click the edit icon (pencil) in the top right corner.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the edit form
At the very bottom of the form, you will find the button: "Delete team" .
Step 3: Click "Delete Team"
After clicking, a warning modal will appear:
"Are you sure you want to delete the team {TEAM_NAME}? This action is irreversible."
Options:
Back / Cancel (Cofnij) – cancels the deletion.
Yes, delete (Tak, usuń) – confirms the deletion.
Step 4: Confirm Deletion
Click "Yes, delete".
✅ The team is immediately removed from the application.
Step 5: What happens after deletion?
❌ The team disappears:
From your "My Teams" list.
From the team search engine within the app.
From all rankings.
❌ Team Events:
Future events (friendlies, tournaments) are cancelled.
Event history is deleted.
✅ Players:
They remain in the application (their accounts are NOT deleted).
They can join other teams.
They simply lose their affiliation with your team.
🔄 Alternative: Transfer instead of Deletion
Instead of deleting the team, consider:
✅ Adding another coach and transferring ownership (see Chapter 5).
Benefits of transferring:
The team remains active.
History and statistics are preserved.
Players do not lose their team.
