In the "Create New Event" panel, select the Tournament option.
Step 2: Discover the Possibilities π‘
Before moving to the details, an information screen will appear. As a tournament organizer, you gain:
π Community Awareness β Your tournament becomes visible to coaches across the entire app.
βοΈ Inviting Teams β The ability to send invitations to teams from our database.
π Application Management β Full control over the list of accepted participants.
π Tournament Sharing β Coaches, players, and parents have a constant live view of results and tables.
Step 3: Basic Data and Competition Format π
Define the sporting foundations of your tournament:
Tournament Name β Enter a unique name to attract attention. Example: "Zimowy Puchar MistrzΓ³w FC.APP," "Mayorβs Cup III," or "Junior Extraklasa β Autumn Edition."
Age Group β Select the age group the tournament is dedicated to from the list. Example: 2012, 2015.
Game System (Field players + Goalkeeper) β Specify how many players will compete on the pitch. Example: 4+1 (5 players total), 6+1 (7 players total).
Number of Teams β Enter the planned number of teams. You will be able to edit this number after creating the tournament. Example: 12 teams (this allows for 3 groups of 4 or 2 groups of 6).
Scoring Type β Decide what the community (Coaches, Parents) should see in the app. Select "With results" for full score visibility.
First Phase Format β Choose from available formats: Round-robin (each-to-each), Group phase, or Knockout (Playoff). Example: For 16 teams, select "Group phase" with 4 groups of 4 teams.
Final Phase β Choose the format for the 2nd stage: Group phase or Knockout. If it is a single-stage tournament, select "No second stage."
Step 4: Tournament Settings β±οΈ
Define the number of pitches, match duration, and breaks:
Number of matches β Information displayed at the top, calculated based on the number of teams and format.
Number of pitches β Specify how many pitches will host the rounds simultaneously.
Match duration (minutes) β Set the duration of a single match.
Half-time break (minutes) β Set the duration of the break between halves (if applicable). Set to 0 if there is no break.
Break between matches (minutes) β Set the time between consecutive matches. Set to 0 if playing without breaks.
Step 5: Time and Place (System Verification) π
The system automatically monitors the feasibility of your plan:
Time Check β At the top, you will see the currently entered duration vs. the required time. The total time allocated must be equal to or greater than the time required by the system to complete all matches.
Location β Search for the address and enter the venue name, e.g., Lublin, Arena Lublin.
Tournament Days β Mark the days on the calendar and specify the hours for each day. This will create your schedule.
Additional Break (optional) β You can add an optional break, such as a lunch break.
Step 6: Choosing Your Own Teams (Optional) π
This step allows you to quickly fill spots with teams you manage within FC.APP.
Selection β You can select an unlimited number of your teams (not exceeding the total tournament capacity).
Automation β Selected teams are immediately added to the participants' list, saving time when generating the schedule.
No Selection β If you are an independent organizer not fielding a team, simply skip this step.
Step 7: Marketing and Regulations πΌοΈ
The final stage is about information and visuals to promote your event. All these fields are optional:
Tournament Description β Add extra info to encourage sign-ups, such as prizes, medals, catering, or attractions (e.g., inflatables, contests).
Tournament Website Link β Add a URL to the official site or a Facebook event.
Regulations β Upload a file with the tournament rules (max. 1.5 MB).
Logo or Poster β Add promotional graphics (JPG or PNG, up to 20 MB). This will be visible on the public events list.
Entry Fee β Enter the fee amount to be displayed to interested teams.
After filling in all fields, click "Create Tournament" to publish your event.
