🎯 How does the layout work?
Match blocks are displayed in a fluid and adaptive layout - they automatically arrange themselves side by side, creating a multi-column layout. The number of columns depends on the available screen width, not on rigidly defined breakpoints. The layout responds smoothly to any change in window size or zoom level.
📋 Number of columns vs. screen width
Width / zoom level | Layout |
Small window / high zoom | 1 column |
Medium window / normal zoom | 2–3 columns |
Large screen / zoomed out | 3 or more columns |
✅ The internal content of the match card remains readable regardless of the card's width.
✅ The layout works smoothly even with 100+ matches on a single page.
✅ The solution is compatible with all major browsers.
🏆 Which tournament formats does it apply to?
The dynamic layout works with the following formats:
✅ Round Robin - fully supported
✅ Group Stage - fully supported
⚠️ Knockout Stage - matches are displayed according to separate rules, tailored to the specifics of the tournament bracket.
🖱️ Drag & Drop
The multi-column layout makes it easier to use the drag and drop feature in the tournament schedule — more matches visible at the same time means less scrolling when manually arranging the timetable.
