Password recovery

Find out how to recover your password/log back into the app if you encounter problems.

When to use this manual?

✅ Use the password recovery function if:

🔐 You forgot your password to your FC.APP account

🔐 You cannot log in despite entering various passwords

🔐 You want to change your password for security reasons

⚠️ Important information before you start

The password recovery function works ONLY if:

✅ You registered via email and password (classic registration)

IT DOES NOT WORK if you registered via:

  • Facebook

  • Google

  • Apple

💡 If you registered via Facebook/Google/Apple:

  • Use the "Log in with Facebook/Google/Apple" button on the login screen.

  • You don't need a password – the login process is handled by those platforms.

  • If you have a problem – check the access to your Facebook/Google/Apple account.


Password recovery - Step by step

📱 Step 1: Open the FC.APP

  1. Launch the FC.APP on your phone.

  2. On the welcome screen, you will see two buttons:

    • "Log in"

    • "Sign up"

  3. Click the "Log in" button.

🔑 Step 2: Go to the password reset screen

On the login screen:

  1. You will see the following fields:

    • "Email"

    • "Password"

  2. Below these fields, you will find a button/link:

    • "I forgot my password"

  3. Click on this button.

📧 Step 3: Enter your email address

After clicking "I forgot my password," a new screen will appear:

"Password Reset".

  1. You will see a text field: "Email".

  2. Enter exactly the same email address you used during registration.

⚠️ Very important:

  • The email must be exactly the same as the one used during registration.

  • Check the spelling (e.g., whether it is .com or .pl).

  • Check for any typos.

  • Email is case-sensitive in some systems.

💡 Examples:

📤 Step 4: Send the password reset request

  1. After entering your email, click the button:

    "Reset password"

  2. You will see a confirmation message: "If your account is registered under [entered email], you will shortly receive a message allowing you to reset your password."

  3. Done! The request has been sent.

📬 Step 5: Check your email inbox

  1. Open your email app on your phone or in a browser.

  2. Check your Inbox.

  3. Look for a message from FC.APP with the subject:

    • "Password recovery"

⏱️ The message should arrive within 1–5 minutes.

Don't see the message?

Check the SPAM / Junk folder:

  1. Go to the "SPAM" or "Junk" folder.

  2. Look for the message from FC.APP.

  3. If found:

    • Mark it as "Not spam".

    • Move it to the "Inbox".

Wait 10–15 minutes:

  • Sometimes message delivery takes longer, especially during peak hours.

Check other folders:

  • Tabs like: Promotions, Updates, Notifications (in Gmail).

  • Other custom folders.

🔗 Step 6: Click the reset link

Once you find the message from FC.APP:

  1. Open the message.

  2. In the content, you will find:

    • Information about the password reset request.

    • A link/button to reset the password:

    • "Reset your password"

  3. Click the link or the button.

🌐 What happens after clicking?

You will be redirected to a page with the header Reset Password.

🆕 Step 7: Set a new password

On the password reset page, you will see a form: "Reset Password".

Fields to fill out:

  1. New password

    • Enter your new password.

    • Remember the requirements (see: Chapter 3).

  2. Repeat new password

    • Enter exactly the same password again.

    • Passwords must be identical.

Example:

  • New password: Pilka2024!

  • Repeat password: Pilka2024!

⚠️ Common error:

Passwords in both fields must be exactly the same (including case sensitivity!).

Step 8: Save the new password

After filling out both fields:

  1. Click the button:

    • "Send"

  2. You will see a confirmation message: "Password has been successfully reset! Your new password has been set. You can now log in."

  3. Done! Your password has been changed.

🔓 Step 9: Log in with the new password

Now you can log in to the app:

  1. Go back to the FC.APP.

  2. On the login screen, enter:

    • Email: Your email address.

    • Password: The new password you just set.

  3. Click "Log in".

You are logged in! You have access to your account again.


Creating a new password - Requirements

To ensure your new password is secure and accepted by the system, it must meet specific requirements.

🔐 FC.APP Password Requirements

The password MUST contain:

Minimum 8 characters (10–12 is better for higher security)

At least one lowercase letter (a-z)

At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)

At least one digit (0-9)

At least one special character Allowed: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + [ ] { } ; : , . < > ? /


Common problems and solutions

I didn't receive the email with the reset link

This is the most common issue. Here is a full list of solutions:

Solution 1: Check the SPAM folder

Check folders like "SPAM", "Junk", or "Junk Email" for messages from:

Solution 2: Check email correctness

Are you sure you entered exactly the same email as during registration?

  • Typos: gmial.com instead of gmail.com

  • Missing dots: jankowalski@ instead of jan.kowalski@

  • Wrong domain: .com instead of .pl

Solution 3: Wait 10–15 minutes

Message delivery might be delayed due to:

  • Overloaded email servers.

  • Peak hours.

  • Slow internet connection.

Solution 4: Check other folders

In some services (like Gmail), messages might land in:

  • Promotions

  • Updates

  • Forums

  • Social

Solution 5: Resend the request

If there is still no message after 15 minutes, try sending the request again from the "I forgot my password" screen.

Solution 6: Check inbox capacity

If your inbox is full, new messages cannot be delivered. Delete old emails to free up space.

Solution 7: Check blocking settings

Add [email protected] to your trusted senders list to ensure automated messages aren't blocked.

Solution 8: Contact support (Final Option)

If none of the above works, contact the FC.APP team:

📧 Email: [email protected]

In your message, provide:

📝 Your first and last name

📧 The email address used for registration

📱 Phone number (if provided during registration)

📅 Approximate date of registration

🆘 Problem description: "I am trying to reset my password but I am not receiving the email with the link."

Response time: The FC.APP team usually responds within 24–48 hours on business days.
