In FC.APP, tournament tables are updated automatically in real-time on both mobile devices and computers. Every score change instantly recalculates the standings, ensuring that everyone sees the most current results.
π Automatic Synchronization
Two platforms β one synchronization
π± Mobile App (Android/iOS)
π» Web Version (Browser)
Syncing rules:
β Change on mobile = instantly visible on computer.
β Change on computer = instantly visible on mobile.
β Everyone sees the exact same table simultaneously.
When do the standings update?
The table recalculates automatically:
β After finishing a match.
β After editing a finished match.
β After adding or removing a goal.
β After concluding a match as a walkover.
π Types of Tables
1. Round-Robin Table (Each-with-Each)
A single table from the start to the end of the competition.
Teams are ranked from 1st to the last place.
Tie-breaking rules for team rankings:
a) Points (3-1-0)
b) Head-to-head result between teams with equal points.
c) Goal difference (for teams with equal points and a draw in their head-to-head match).
2. Group Tables
Used in tournaments with multiple groups (Group A, B, C...).
Each group has its own independent table.
Tie-breaking rules: Same as the Round-Robin table (Points β Head-to-head β Goal difference).
Where to find them:
Go to the "Table" tab β Select the specific group.
Final Standings (Overall Table)
The overall ranking of all teams from 1st to the last place is determined as follows.
If the tournament ends after the first Group Phase: The final table is generated by comparing results from all groups based on:
a) Points
b) Head-to-head results
c) Goal difference
If the tournament includes a second Group Phase (e.g., Gold/Silver/Bronze): The final standings are determined by the group hierarchy and the teams' performance within those specific groups:
Places 1β5: Teams from the Gold Group.
Places 6β10: Teams from the Silver Group.
Places 11β15: Teams from the Bronze Group.
3. Knockout Phase (Playoffs)
β οΈ Points: Each won match adds +3 points to the general statistics.
Final Standings: The overall table is generated only after the Final match is completed.
Ranking Logic: Final positions are determined by the bracket progress, not by total points accumulated.
Final Standings Example:
π₯ 1st Place: Winner of the Final
π₯ 2nd Place: Runner-up of the Final
π₯ 3rd Place: Winner of the 3rd place play-off
4th Place: Loser of the 3rd place play-off
β οΈ Key Principle:
The overall final table records +3 points for every match won. However, a team from a lower bracket stage may have more points but will still occupy a lower final position, because their rank is determined by their progress in the bracket.
Example:
Team A:
Group Stage: 9 pts | Knockout Stage: +9 pts (3 wins)
Total: 18 pts | Rank: π₯ 1st (Final Winner)
Team C:
Group Stage: 9 pts | Knockout Stage: +9 pts (3 wins)
Total: 18 pts | Rank: π₯ 3rd (Lost in Semi-final, won 3rd place match)
Conclusion: Even though both teams have 18 points, Team C is ranked lower because they were eliminated earlier in the main championship bracket (Semi-final).
π When is it generated?
The standings are generated automatically after the conclusion of the very last match (the Final).
βοΈ The Logic:
Points: Every win in the knockout phase = +3 pts.
Ranking: Position in the bracket strictly determines the final classification.
Calculation: Points are accumulated for statistics, but they do not override the bracket-based ranking.
Example:
Semi-finals:
A1 wins (
+3 pts)B1 wins (
+3 pts)
Finals:
Final: A1 wins (
+3 pts)3rd Place Match: B2 wins (
+3 pts)
Final Standings:
π₯ 1. A1 (18 pts) β Final Winner
π₯ 2. B1 (12 pts) β Final Loser
π₯ 3. B2 (9 pts) β 3rd Place Winner
4. A2 (6 pts) β 3rd Place Loser
4. Invisible Overall Ranking for Multi-Phase Tournaments
How it works:
In tournaments with a second phase, the system creates an internal ranking that orders all teams from 1st to the last place based on their performance in the initial groups.
Example:
Setup: 8 teams, 2 groups of 4.
Visible Groups:
Group A: A1, A2, A3, A4
Group B: B1, B2, B3, B4
The system generates an internal ranking:
1st Place: A1 (1st in Group A)
2nd Place: B1 (1st in Group B)
3rd Place: A2 (2nd in Group A)
4th Place: B2 (2nd in Group B)
...and so on.
Application:
This ranking is primarily used for Knockout Phase Drafts (Automatic seeding).
Draft Rule: "Team from 1st place vs. Team from 4th place"
In practice: A1 vs B2
π‘ Why is this important?
This logic ensures that teams are seeded fairly in the playoffs based on their group performance. Even though you only see individual group tables, the system "knows" the overall strength of each team to build the bracket automatically.
