The Team Ranking is a system designed to evaluate the competitive level of teams within FC.APP. Teams earn ranking points based on their participation and final standings in tournaments. The more points you accumulate, the higher your position in the ranking!
🎯 Who can earn points?
✅ Only Real Teams
A "Real Team" is defined as:
A team registered by a coach within the FC.APP system.
A team with a complete profile, including a coach, players, and history.
A team that receives match and tournament notifications.
A team that tracks statistics across all competitions.
Real Teams can:
Earn ranking points.
Increase the overall competitive level of a tournament.
Build their reputation and standing in the rankings.
❌ Temporary Teams do NOT earn ranking points.
📅 Seasonality
Ranking Seasons:
The Team Ranking operates in seasons. Each season lasts 12 months, and at the end of the period, all teams' points are reset to the initial value.
Season Schedule:
Seasons run from August 1st to July 31st of the following year.
Example: The 2025/2026 season runs from 01.08.2025 to 31.07.2026.
Points Reset
What happens on August 1st every year:
All teams are reset to a starting value of 100 points.
Statistics from the previous season are archived.
A new season begins with a clean slate for everyone.
Why do we reset?
It gives every team a fair chance to reach the top, regardless of when they joined.
It rewards teams for their performance in the current season rather than past achievements.
It ensures the ranking reflects the current strength and roster of the teams.
🏟️ Tournament Level
What is the Tournament Level?
The Tournament Level indicates the competitive strength of an event based on the participating teams. The higher the level, the stronger the competition, and the more points there are to be earned.
The Tournament Level is calculated as the average ranking points of all "Real Teams" participating in the event.
How the Tournament Level is Calculated
Only Real Teams Count:
The tournament level is determined by the average ranking points of participating teams:
Tournament Level = (Sum of all teams points)/(Number of teams)
Example:
A tournament with 4 real teams:
Team A: 1200 points
Team B: 800 points
Team C: 600 points
Team D: 400 points
Level = (1200 + 800 + 600 + 400) / 4 = 750 points
The benefits of a higher level:
You play against the best teams.
More ranking points are awarded for final standings.
The tournament becomes more attractive to top-tier participants.
Temporary Teams Lower the Level
If an organizer adds temporary teams, the overall tournament level decreases because temporary teams contribute 0 points to the average.
Example Comparison:
Scenario A (4 Real Teams): Average strength is based on all 4 teams' active points.
Scenario B (2 Real Teams + 2 Temporary): The two real teams (e.g., 1000 + 800 = 1800) are divided by the total number of spots, significantly pulling down the average.
Advice for Organizers:
To maximize the value of your event:
Invite Real Teams: They actively raise the tournament level.
Avoid Temporary Teams: They dilute the level and reduce the points available for winners.

When is the Tournament Level Updated?
The tournament level is dynamic and updates in real-time based on the participants list:
Adding a strong team → The level increases.
Adding a weaker team → The level decreases.
Adding a temporary team → The level decreases (as they contribute 0 points).
Where to find the Tournament Level?

Go to Tournament Details → "Event Details" section.
Look for the trophy badge: 🏆 1250

🎁 Tournament Rewards
What is the Reward?
The Tournament Reward is the specific number of ranking points a team earns for finishing in 1st place.
The Rules:
Higher Tournament Level = Larger Reward.
More Participating Teams = Larger Reward.
Example:
Tournament A: Level 500, 8 teams → Reward: +800 pts
Tournament B: Level 1200, 16 teams → Reward: +2000 pts
📍 Where to find the Reward?
Mobile App:
Go to Tournament Details → Look for the badge: +2000 (Reward for the winner).
Click the "i" (info) icon → View points awarded for all other final positions.
WEB Platform:
Go to Tournament Details → Look for the "Win Reward" widget.
The value will be displayed as a number (e.g., +2000).
📅 When is the Reward visible?
The final reward value is displayed once the tournament reaches the "Confirmed" status.
Why not immediately?
During "Open" status: Teams are still registering, and the Tournament Level is constantly fluctuating. The reward would be unstable.
Once "Confirmed":
The Organizer has finalized the event details.
The Tournament Level is locked.
The Reward value becomes fixed and will not change.
Coaches know exactly what they are playing for before the first whistle.
Points for All Placements
Click the "i" icon next to the reward badge to see the full point distribution. In FC.APP, every position in the tournament earns points!
TOP 3: Awarded the highest number of points.
Other Placements: Also earn points (fewer than the podium, but every match counts toward your progress).

💡 Best Practices
For Coaches
✅ Compete in tournaments with scores:
Only tournaments with active scoring provide ranking points.
Always check the tournament format before registering.
"No scores/Friendly" tournaments do not award points.
✅ Choose high-level tournaments:
A higher tournament level means a larger pool of points to win.
Check the "Tournament Level" in the event details before signing up.
Example: A Level 1500 tournament indicates top-tier competition.
✅ Participate regularly:
The more tournaments you enter, the more points you can accumulate.
Consistency is key to climbing the leaderboard.
Every event is a new opportunity to boost your standing.
✅ Fight for the TOP 3:
Finishing on the podium (1st–3rd place) offers the most significant point gains.
Example: 1st place could award +2000 pts, while 5th place might award +99 pts. The difference is substantial!
✅ Play in your age category:
Use age-group filters to compare your team against direct peers.
It is easier to track progress and achieve a high rank within your specific category.
For Organizers
✅ Invite "Real Teams":
Real Teams increase the overall Tournament Level.
A higher level makes your event more attractive to other competitive teams.
More Real Teams mean a larger Reward (point pool) for the participants.
❌ Avoid Temporary Teams:
Temporary teams lower the Tournament Level because they contribute 0 points.
A low level means fewer points can be earned by winners.
Experienced coaches often avoid tournaments with low competitive levels.
✅ Promote your Level and Reward:
Coaches can see these metrics in the event details.
Highlighting a high tournament level helps coaches decide to register.
A high level naturally attracts stronger teams, creating a "snowball effect" for your event's prestige.
