📍 Where can I change a team's points?
✅ In the table edit modal – available to Organiser accounts in the mobile app.
Editing works in two places:
Group table – the modal for editing the group name and positions.
Final table – the modal for editing the tournament's final table.
In both, alongside the familiar "Table position (+/−)" stepper, you'll find a new "Points (+/−)" stepper.
⚙️ How do I change the points? (step by step)
Step 1: Open the table for editing
Go to the group table or the tournament's final table.
Open the edit modal.
Step 2: Expand the team card
Find the team whose points you want to change in the list.
Tap its card – a section with editing options will expand.
Step 3: Set the number of points
Use the "Points" stepper – the + button adds a point, the − button subtracts one.
The number of points updates on the team card straight away.
If the change moves the team up or down, the order in the list updates as you go.
Step 4: Save your changes
Tap the "SAVE" button.
Changes are only sent at this point – nothing reaches the system until you save.
Once saved, the table displays the final order of teams.
🔢 How is the order worked out after a points change?
Teams are sorted in descending order by points – the team with the highest tally goes top.
When teams are level on points, the order is decided by the standard tournament rules: head-to-head results, goal difference, goals scored and so on.
The system works out the order for teams tied on points – you don't set it manually.
🔁 Changing points after the tournament has finished
You can still edit points in the group table when the tournament already has the status "finished" and a final table exists.
How it works:
You change a team's points in the group table.
The same change is automatically applied to that team's corresponding record in the final table.
You don't need to edit both tables separately.
❌ What to keep in mind
You can't go below 0 points – the stepper locks at the lower limit.
Changes aren't saved automatically – without tapping "SAVE" they're lost.
Changing points is independent of changing positions – the two steppers work separately and you can use just one of them.
You can't manually change the order of teams tied on points – it's determined by the tournament rules.
⚠️ Important information
⚖️ Manual edits override the result from the pitch
Points entered manually replace the value calculated from the matches played. Use this option where the decision goes beyond the sporting result – disciplinary deductions, walkovers settled outside the app, or corrections following a protest. After each change of this kind it's worth reviewing the whole table, as moving one team shifts the positions of the others.
