🟡 Status: WAITING
When does a tournament receive this status?
The "Waiting" status is assigned automatically when:
✅ A full lineup of teams has been gathered (all spots are filled).
✅ All real teams have confirmed their participation.
What does this status mean?
✅ Full House – all available spots are taken.
⚠️ The tournament is NOT YET ready to start.
What do participants see?
All users:
See the tournament with the "WAITING" status.
Can see the full list of participating teams.
CANNOT apply to participate anymore (the list is full).
Confirmed teams:
See their status as "Confirmed" next to their team name.
Are waiting for the organizer to approve the tournament.
Invited teams (with no response):
Teams in the "Invitations" section become grayed out.
They can no longer confirm participation (no vacant spots left).
They will be automatically rejected once the tournament is approved.
What can you do as an organizer?
✅ Approve the Tournament
An active button appears:
"Approve Tournament".
Clicking it changes the status to "Confirmed".
✅ Remove Teams
You can remove a team (red X button next to the name).
The system will automatically revert the event status to "Open".
Creating a vacant spot.
✅ Edit Details
You can still edit tournament details (description, hours, format, number of teams).
❌ What can you NOT do?
You cannot invite more teams.
You cannot create a schedule (the tournament is not yet approved).
You cannot start matches.
Moving to the next status
The event status changes to "Confirmed" when:
✅ You click "Approve Tournament".
Returning to "Open" status
You can return to the "Open" status if:
You remove a team → a vacant spot appears.
You edit the tournament and increase the number of available team spots.
The status changes automatically: "Waiting" → "Open".
