Removing a Team from a Tournament

When can you remove a team?

As an organizer, you can manage the lineup and remove teams depending on the current stage of tournament preparation. This feature is available when the event has one of the following statuses:

  • Open

  • Pending

  • Confirmed

⚠️ Important: Once the first match begins (and the status changes to "In Progress"), the function to remove a team from the lineup is disabled and hidden from view.


How to remove a team?

The method for removal depends on the device you are using:

💻 On the WEB platform:

  1. Go to the Teams tab in your tournament dashboard.

  2. Find the team in the list and click the Delete/Remove button on the right side of its name.

  3. The system will display a warning message stating that removing a team will also delete the existing match schedule.

  4. To finalize the process, click the YES, DELETE button.

📱 In the Mobile app:

  1. Navigate to the Teams section in the tournament view.

  2. Click the red X icon next to the team's name.

  3. Confirm your decision in the pop-up dialog box.


What can you do as an organizer?

Free up spots for other interested teams.

Adjust the lineup in case of a sudden withdrawal of a team before the matches start.

Change tournament status – removing a team while in "Confirmed" status may revert the tournament back to "Open" if a vacancy is created.
