Automatic Schedule

The main advantage of FC.APP is automation and streamlining the tournament organization process. The schedule is generated automatically based on the completed form, and matches can later be edited and moved in real-time.

You don't have to arrange the schedule manually – the system does it for you in seconds.

🎯 How does the automatic schedule work?

Generation Process:

Step 1: Fill out the form

Choose the tournament format, number of pitches, match duration, and breaks.

Step 2: System generates the schedule

It automatically arranges all matches, assigns pitches, sets start times, and distributes teams proportionally.

Step 3: You can edit

Move matches in time, change pitches, or edit the order – all in real-time.

⚙️ Schedule Generation Options

The system offers 3 options for arranging matches, depending on the tournament format:

💡 In the examples below, A1, A2, A3... are the consecutive teams of group A. In a Group + Group tournament, Phase II slots use similar labels (e.g. Team A1 = the team from 1st place in group A). More: Slots in the second group stage.

Option 1: All teams simultaneously on all pitches

How it works:

  • Teams from every group play at the same time.

  • All available pitches are used simultaneously, and matches are distributed proportionally.

Example:

Time

Pitch 1

(Group A)

Pitch 2

(Group B)

Pitch 3

(Group C)

Pitch 4

(Group D)

09:00

10:15

D2 vs D3

Option 2: Groups alternating on all pitches

How it works:

  • Groups are assigned to all pitches one by one.

  • Once one group finishes its round, the pitches are assigned to the next group.

Example:

Time

Group

Pitch 1

Pitch 2

Pitch 3

Pitch 4

09:00 – 09:15

Group A

A1 vs A2

A3 vs A4

C2 vs C4

09:45 – 10:00

Group D

D1 vs D2

D3 vs D4

D1 vs D3

D2 vs D4

Option 3: Sessions with specific groups

How it works:

  • The schedule is divided into time sessions.

  • In each session, specific groups use the pitches according to the set schedule.

  • You decide which groups play in which session.

Example:

Time

Pitch 1

Pitch 2

🧩 Schedule Wizard Step by Step

You open the wizard in the Schedule of the first phase tab with the GENERATE SCHEDULE button. The number of steps depends on the tournament format:

Group Stage (without a second stage) and Group + Knockout: 2 steps

  • Step 1: Phase I pitch assignment configuration (you choose one of the 3 options described above)

  • Step 2: Set group play order

  • In a Group + Knockout tournament, the Phase II bracket is created automatically and adapts to the Phase I groups.

Group + Group: 4 steps, both phases at once

  • Step 1: Phase I pitch assignment configuration

  • Step 2: Set group play order (Phase I)

  • Step 3: Phase II pitch assignment configuration

  • Step 4: Set group play order in Phase II

The last click on NEXT generates and saves the schedule. At the end, you will see the "Automatic draw" window. Close it with the DONE button.

In a Group + Group tournament, Phase II matches are scheduled after the Phase I matches. Until Phase I ends, they show slots instead of team names (e.g. Team A1 VS Team B3). After moving to Phase II, the system places the actual teams into the slots. The number of matches, the pairings, the order and the pitches do not change.

🔄 Regenerating After Changing Group Composition

If you move a team to another group after the schedule has been generated, the Table tab shows the warning "Group composition has changed - the schedule needs to be regenerated" with a GENERATE SCHEDULE button.

  1. Click GENERATE SCHEDULE.

  2. In the "Regenerate schedule" window, click YES, GENERATE (NO, LEAVE closes the window without changes).

  3. The wizard shows only the steps for the phase affected by the change:

    • change in Phase I (Group + Group): all 4 steps, the schedule for both phases is created from scratch

    • change only in Phase II (Group + Group): steps 3-4, Phase I matches and results stay unchanged

    • Group Stage and Group + Knockout: steps 1-2

  4. After generating, the warning disappears.

You can make several composition changes one after another and generate the schedule once, at the end. CANCEL in the wizard does not change anything, and the warning stays.
